Add a touch of class and elegance by choosing one of our range of timber shutters on offer. These are designed for a range of applications such as bar areas, reception counters, display areas, serveries, cupboards and for use in homes.
Shutter and grille curtains are formed from either A type joint or B type lath in Ramin, Ash, Oak, Utile, Beech (A only), Yellow Pine or Colombian (B only). Other timbers are available on request. Note: B lath will not reverse roll.
Grille curtain is formed from A type lath each alternative lath is omitted for a space of 229mm to form a grille effect, single spacing, or two rows of lath omitted for double spacing. Guides are normally supplied in matching timber. Flush lifts and barrel bolts are supplied normally in B.M.A. ptjer fomosjes are available. Cylinder key locks are an optional extra although standard on type A. The guides are 47mm x 47 mm (fit within) or 72mm x 72mm (face fit) and usually connected to the end pads to simplify erection.
Self Coiling
Self coiling action with counter balanced springs as standard. Alternatively electrical operation is available from 230v 50Hz single phase tubular motor contained within the roller lock assembly, operated by push button or key switch. Locks would normally be omitted for electrical operation.
Hood and Facia
Hood and fascia to enclose the shutter coil may be supplied in Birch faced plywood (natural), Beech, Ash or Oak faced at extra cost, polishing at extra cost or metal at extra cost Shutters and Grilles are finished in the white unless otherwise specified. If required, they can be polished or stained and polished at an extra cost.
Motor Activated or Manual Push-Pull
Operation is either by manual push up/pull down or by tubular motor activated by key switch or rocker switch. Please note that we recommend electric operation for shutters 2500mm wide or over. Electrically operated shutters can be provided with a manual handcrank override, so that the shutter can be operated in the event of a power failure.
Range of Finishes
We can supply and install timber shutters in a range of finishes such as ash, beech, cherry, maple, white oak, colombian pine, ramin, red oak, utile and yellow pine in a range of styles and lath sizes. You also have the option of a sanded finish (ready for finishing "by others"), polished clear finish or polished stained finish.
